Instructure to Sell Bridge for $50M and Exit Corporate Learning Market
Bridge, Instructure’s LMS for corporate and enterprise customers, had not been growing as expected and was on the verge of being sold for over a year. Recently, it has been decided that Bridge will be sold to Learning Technologies Group, a London, U.K.-based provider of digital learning and talent development tools for businesses and employees.
Bridge had been Instructure’s attempt to replicate its success with Canvas, an LMS for higher education, in the corporate learning space. Corporate learning being a large and fragmented market that often gets cut during economic downturns, the business posted a $1.3 million loss last year, and hence, it was time for Instructure to find a new home for Bridge.

KU to Switch from Blackboard to Canvas in the Fall of 2024

Professors and students alike seem thrilled with the advanced internal communication tools that the new LMS provides. “It shows every single due date in order, whether it’s a quiz or an assignment and it has links to all of them,” Professor Casey Franklin of the School of Architecture and Design said. “It’s easier to know what’s due and when it’s due.”
