About The Potential PowerSchool IPO Leaked by Bloomberg
As Phil notes, an increase of edtech use during the pandemic has led to an increase in investment, one of which is playing out as a new wave of public offerings.
PowerSchool, one of the largest players in the field of LMS who purchased Schoology in 2019 and a part of Sungard in 2017, has recently filed confidentially for a U.S. initial public offering that could value the education software provider at more than $6 billion.
This could mean not only a major financial growth as expected for K-12 systems but an “… impact on other EdTech companies looking to either consolidate or enter the public markets,” says Phil Hill.
