Japan’s National Institute of Informatics Paves the Way for Japanese Libraries of the Future with Ex Libris Alma Services
The National Institute of Informatics in Japan, an interuniversity institute that promotes research in information-related areas, just selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform as part of its Vision on Future Scholarly Information Systems strategies.
The new library system and network, which includes support for digitized academic materials, will be supporting the Japan Alliance of University Library Consortia for E-Resources or JUSTICE with an electronic resource management service, thus connecting the library systems of consortium members and enabling students, researchers, and librarians to find holdings of electronic resources at other universities.
